FAQ

What is NCHER Connect?

NCHER Connect is a secure online matching platform that helps organizations seeking services connect with qualified providers. Service seekers can submit project needs anonymously, receive ranked matches based on service categories and related criteria, and communicate with providers through a private portal before deciding whether to share their identity.

Service Seeker - How Do I Get Started?

Start by creating a request for services. Fill out and submit the Request Form from the Main Menu located at the top of the page. Service requests are limited to five (5) categories per request. If your organization is seeking more than five services, multiple requests will need to be submitted.

Service Provider - How Do I Get Started?

Begin by completing the profile for your organization. When completing the category section, please include all services that you provide as they will me matched to service requests, which are limited to five (5) categories. Please be aware that Service Seekers may submit more than one request if they are seeking more than five services.

How Is The Matching Calculated?

NCHER Connect calculates matches by comparing the service categories selected in a seeker’s request with the services listed in provider profiles. It then factors in keyword and implementation timeline details provided by each entity. Results are ranked by overall match percentage so seekers can quickly identify the providers that appear most aligned with their needs.

How Does Anonymous Conversation Work?

Anonymous conversation allows service seekers and providers to communicate through the NCHER Connect portal without revealing the seeker’s identity at the start of the process. After a seeker submits a request and reviews their matched providers, they can contact one or more providers through the portal. Providers can respond within the same conversation thread, and all communication remains inside the system. The seeker’s identity stays hidden unless and until the seeker chooses to reveal their contact information, allowing both sides to explore a potential fit before making direct contact.
